In its third year, North Kiteboardingï¿½s 5th Element has been thoroughly redesigned for even more effective safety release functions. The reworked IronHeart and Safety Leash require lower release forces and are now more functional even in sandy and wet saltwater conditions. The new Sliding Stopper and Stopperball with the double depower line ensure a perfect hold of the bar in all situations. The smaller and lighter VarioCleat helps you to adjust the bar fast and easy for a perfect fit.

Riders of all levels, from pros to newcomers, will benefit from the advantages of the new 2008 5th Element bar setup.

Now the Extreme kites comment. The stopper works this year and the continuous depower rope providing 2 lines not only simplifies things but makes adjustment of the cleat position on the beach simple and reliable. The new ironheart is lighter and works with little input. The hole is machined bigger and should wear less on the depower rope, we will update this comment once we've hammered ours.

One thing not mentioned is the bar has been thickened around the centre hole, I snapped an 07 bar this year so North are obviously taking customer feed back seriously. Mike Team EK North rider.
