:: Extreme Kites PKD Buster Verdict ::
PKD Busters are not only cheap but are also excellent to fly especially if you normally have trouble landing your kites.
Whether you are flying the smallest PKD Buster 0.7m2 or the biggest out of the range the PKD Buster 7.0m2,
the response the kite has to turning and braking is top quality.
These features from PKD are what makes the PKD Buster an excellent choice for beginners,
the fact you can put on the brakes to land and feel safe in the knowledge that the kite
will not power up means the Buster is a great kite for boosting confidence levels and
for learning the basics of traction kites.
The easy to adjust brakes built in to the supplied PKD handles means that you save time in tweaking your buster if need be,
there are no knots to untie so you simply adjust them from the cleats on the handles.
Other adjustments on the Busters are the bridle knots, this means that you can change the type of power that the buster
will create from a dragging motion used for buggying to a more uplifting control for jumping.
The 0.7m2 is the fastest of the range and is suited more to the experience flyer in stronger winds,
where as the 1.4m2 right through to the 4m2 Busters are ideal for beginners and experienced alike.
Although the 5.5m2 and 7.0m2 are bigger kites they still respond pretty quickly and turn faster
than expected for kites of this size. They also have a lot of power behind them but again don’t come
across as too boisterous if used in the correct wind for the more experienced and power craving flyers.
All PKD Busters do come with handles and 20m lines already attached which mean as soon as you buy the kite
the only setting up you have to do are the brakes and bridle trim if you feel this is needed and if not
then you can fly straight away with no hassle of having to set up your new kite!!!

- 28 m for the PKD Century 6.5 and 7.5
- 33m for the PKD Century 9.0, 11.0 and 13.0.

Easy take off, forgiving flight behaviour and a big speed range combined
with excellent performance - Impossible!
This was the standard answer when asking for a beginner kite.....until now.
PKD set to work on the problem to develop a kite with exactly these
characteristics.
Drawing on their expertise in paraglider technology they
reduced the aspect ratio, increased the profile depth, incorporated their
well proven V-rib technology to minimise the number of bridle line
attachment points and fine tuned the result to achieve the perfect
solution.....the PKD Joy.
The material selection and build quality are to the same high standards of
all PKD kites.
The PKD Joy can be purchased as "kite only" with stuff bag, or complete with
