It's about this time of year we see people buying these stylish ski/snowboard helmets. This year the UK importer is not bringing in any 2012 products, I think there's not goign to be any new designs this year from italy any way and there is a large range still available from 2009 through to 2011. We order these in bespoke as the range is so vast so please email us and check your choice is available before ordering. We all use HMR helmets here at EK so we know how good they are.

Well it's fair to say the recession still has people tightening the purse strings and cutting back on the toys. While we've not had so much to do in the kite world we have had time to go out and paraglide over 2011. Enough to say that Phil has managed to finish 5th in the UK XC league in his 4th season and Mike has finished 16th in his second. Fine achievements for both out of over 230 participating pilots and rubbing shoulders with people of over 10 years flying experience. Both flying the Niviuk Peak 2 which is fair to say has been one of the best wings of 2011. Our local club has finished no 1 so just goes to show that the Pennines club has the best group of pilots in the UK.

Now the Para/kite season is closing we will be concentrating on getting the EK website up-to-date and we have some exciting new products to add.

Mike is a keen videographer and has been waiting for the likes of GoPro and Contour to produce a mini camera that could replace his much bigger Sony and finally GoPro's Hero 2 is out. I'll get the product page up soon but we expect our first units in the next few days which are already sold. We'll be putting them through their paces and have a speed fly descent of Snowdon planned, just waiting for the right weather conditions.

We also hope to have the snowboards and ski's out this winter for snow kiting and Speed flying up Ben nevis and the lakes.

We are pleased to announce that Mike has passed his Paragliding Pilot exam and in the pre-season Pennine club awards has been recognised as the most improved pilot from 2010 which he feels very privileged to receive.

Both Phil and Mike now fly the new Niviuk Peak 2 and are looking forward to the challenges of the UK cross country season of 2011.

While we are not a fully fledged Paragliding shop we are happy to point people who are interested in the sport in the right direction.

In the pre-Christmas rush we sold a good ammount of the HMR ski/board helmets. The new 2011 range is now in stock with the importer and we will update the HMR pages soon.

New this year are the limited Carbon fibre designs, simply stunning to look at http://www.hmrhelmets.com/carbonfibre.aspx

Also the B52 Air and H2 Air with added mesh covered vents.
